I am a Final Year Product Design undergraduate at Nottingham Trent University, currently working to a 2:1 standard. I have an ability to approach design from a unique perspective and to truly think outside the box to come up with innovative solutions and fresh ideas. I am passionate about design and I thrive on the challenge of problem solving.
I strongly believe in sustainable design. It should be taken into considered just as much as form and function. Aside from design my other interest involve skiing, rugby, gaming, Computers and new technology such as 3D printing. . |
skillsCAD- working to First Degree standard in CAD modules on my degree course. On team projects I take the lead on CAD development.
In Design- skilled in using to produce 2D information such as leaflets and presentations Sketching- I have spend a considerable amount of time practicing and improving my sketching skills as part the design development aspect of my course. Model Making- I am proficient in making models in wood/MDF, aero ply, blue foam, cardboard and others. Green design- I have a keen interest in Design that is environmentally friendly and materials that have a minimum impact on the environment. I have gained an extended project qualification( EPQ) in Green Design. Photo shop - I used Photoshop to enhance my solidworks images as well as my own photography of my designs. |

work experience2017 to present - SPI Global Play My main job role is to Design bespoke Children’s play centres. I design to the specification of the customer and there building. I am aware of the costing and safety standards when designing. As the only designer in England, I am the closest to all of the fabrication of the products as our product is fabricated in the UK, I often problem solve other designers problems to help with manufacturing processes . I have developed an understanding of how the business operate from design through to manufacture. My favourite part of the job is designing new product for the company.
